Didn't Hillary! once think it was a foregone conclusion that she was going to win?

We all know how that turned out.

Now there is a report out that Obama has formed a Presidential Transition Team to get him ready to get into the White House as easily as possible.  While I have no problem with a Candidate thinking of these things (someone does have to win, and of course that person should be ready to get to work in D.C.), it speaks volumes that Team Obama is acknowledging this information publicly.

Smells a bit cocky and over-confident, doesn't it?  Especially when one considers that polling is still close, the DNC hasn't officially nominated him yet, and there are rumblings that Hillary! supporters might try a coup of sorts in Denver.

God forbid someone should PREPARE for SUCCESS.

Piker:

I know sometimes you read over things that I write without really reading them, so I'll just cut-n-paste from the post:

"While I have no problem with a Candidate thinking of these things (someone does have to win, and of course that person should be ready to get to work in D.C.), it speaks volumes that Team Obama is acknowledging this information publicly."

In other words, it's not WHAT he's doing, it's HOW he's doing it.

So it's the arrogance you object to. You think that's a bad quality in a person? You want a humble, quiet president.

There is a thin line between "confident" and "cocky".

Obam,a hasn't even officially received his Party's nomination, and he is already speaking PUBLICALLY about his transition team.

Again, it's not the what, it's the how.

Well, I wouldn't put the word "uppity" in your mouth, but...

Good, 'cause I'd have to spit it out.

Cocky would work, however.

You'd put cocky in your mouth, MD? And not spit THAT out???????????

Haha! GWK carries my water for me!

Hey, I've got to lob a few softballs at you guys every now and then. I can't be the only one writing funny stuff over here.

Hey! I resemble that.

What about 'piker's 10 pounds of bad marriage cankle pants'?

That was a classic Paulie-ism.

Pride goes before destruction, and a haughty spirit before a fall, so yes, arrogance is not something I want in a President. Confidence and decisiveness, yes. MD's point is still well taken. Not the what, but the how. Even if he can part the waters....

Gee 'Face, that kinda sounds like Bush Derangement Syndrome to me.
