My $.02..

I thought Palin was feisty, informed, and held her own against Biden.  She constantly looked into the camera, and America's Living Room, and answered the questions in a folksy, yet confident manner.

Biden was controlled, looked mostly at Gwen Ifill when responding, and was very comfortable in the setting.  I watched on Fox, and they used a split screen for most of the debate.  Several times while Palin was speaking, you could tell that Biden likes her.

She chided him a few times, brought up many of Biden's primary experiences (when he was running against Obama), and did very well.

I think Palin won over some people tonight, showed that she isn't a complete moron.  She spoke to the American People, was "everyman", and did better than expected.  It was her debate to win or lose, and she clearly didn't lose.

I think her touching on the issue of personal responsibility resonates with everyday people, and will stand out from this debate.

Well done, Sarah.

Almost forgot-when the ratings come out, I'll wager that more people watched this debate than the first Presidential one.  People who haven't been paying close attention will have tuned in to watch the train wreck, and will come away that not only is Palin capable, she's also likable.

And that translates into better polling numbers for the McCain/Palin ticket.

While I agree with most of what you saw, I was disappointed that she didn't pull this guy up by the short hairs.

He kept tossing her softballs, especially in the beginning, and she didn't swing.

E.g.: tax cuts; whose fault was the meltdown; meeting dictators with no preconditions?

All in all, she more than held her own. Unfortunately, Biden didn't quite sqeeze his foot into his mouth as much as I'd hoped.

Although I was quite amused by the thought of him going to Home Depot to get some insight into foreign policy.

What a doofus.
