I renewed my membership to the NRA today, helping them to fight the good fight against Obama and his attack on the Constitution. You can do more than stomp your feet and get angry, you can sign up as well. Only takes a few minutes, and isn't too expensive.
Don't complain, ACT!
New York passed a law today that would make the .22 rifle I learned to shoot with illegal. I renewed my NRA membership today so my daughter will be able to learn to shoot with the same gun I did. Here's the part of the new law that would affect my old rifle:
The legislative package, which Mr. Cuomo said he believed would be “the most comprehensive package in the nation,” would ban any gun magazine that can hold over 7 rounds of ammunition — the current limit is 10 rounds. It would also require background checks of ammunition buyers and automated alerts to law enforcement of high-volume purchases.
I'd love to have someone from the NY Legislature explain to me how reducing a magazine capacity by 3 rounds will prevent violent crime. Wouldn't a person with evil intentions just stock up on more 7-round magazines? And just how does the Legislature expect to get rid of all the 10-round magazines out there?
I find it funny that the same people who say there is no way to find, round up, and deport all the people who are here illegally, think they can just snap their fingers and make weapons disappear.
