The Huffington Post reports on a school shooting in Atlanta today. Read the brief story, and see if you notice what I did.
I'll wait while you follow the link.
One thing I noticed, was the lack of mention by HuffPo on what caused the shooter to stop shooting. A quick trip over to the Atlanta Journal Constitution reveals this:
An armed police resource officer apprehended the suspect, also a student at the school, “within minutes,” authorities said during a late afternoon news conference.
School officials praised the response of the officer, an off-duty Atlanta police officer, but offer few details of the incident, which happened on the school campus between the main building and the gym.
So a trained, armed individual stopped further violence in a school. I wonder why HuffPo left that part out?
