They don't know how to react when one of their Idols says something different than what they have been taught. Watch the short clip below. The Leftie audience applauds on cue after Maddow makes her comments. They love her, and pretty much everything that comes out of her mouth. Then Maher lets fly with a dose of reality on taxes in California, and you can hear a pin drop:
They obviously can't applaud what he is saying about there being a breaking point in the tax structure, because that would go against everything they "know" about being a 99%er; and they can't boo the man they follow blindly. What he says is gospel, after all.
Imagine the confusion in that studio.
It is nice to see Maher wake up about his personal taxes, and the effect it has on his wallet.
Another internal conflict on the Left has to concern Chelsea Clinton and her new $10 million apartment in New York City:
Chelsea Clinton is buying a $10.5 million spread right across the street from Madison Square Park, reports NyPo. The apartment is 5,000 square feet and is located in the Whitman.
The unit at 21 E. 26th St. is four bedrooms, with 6 1/2 bathrooms, and the family room has a full view of the park.
The five-story building has one apartment per floor, and a key-locked elevator.
Chelsea, 33, and her husband Marc Mezvinsky, 35, according to NyPo, “live in the neighborhood and found the building on their own while out walking.”
Do you know any 33 year-olds that can afford a $10.5 million, 5,000 square foot home? It's one thing for a young athlete or celebrity to have that kind of cash at that young of an age. What has Clinton done in her life to generate that kind of cash? With 10% down, you are looking at a monthly mortgage payment in the $40k range. I can only imagine what the monthly HOA fees are, what it costs to heat and cool that place, and the cash it will take to decorate it. I'm guessing she isn't going to be furnishing it with stuff from Ikea.
At some point Chelsea, don't you have enough?
