President-elect Obama has a tough choice to make, and must make it fairly quickly. If he keeps Fitzgerald, he risks some backlash from his associates in Illinois. If he lets him go, or promotes him, does it send a signal on how Obama feels about cronyism?
At least Obama can't vote "Present" on this one.
