Late November marked the beginning of the bailout of the Big Three. Remember them? a group of businesses that were determined to be "too big to fail". We couldn't let those guys go gently into the night, because it would kill the Region with all the job loss.
So why aren't those same people opposing the bankruptcy now? We are a short 6 months from those conversations, the economy has gotten worse, and there is more unemployment now than then. Where did all those taxpayer dollars in the form of multiple loans (it wasn't "our" money, remember?) go to? We paid $50 billion for a Compnay that was worth $7 billion. And all it did was hold things off for 6 months. The UAW made few concessions, and now they run the show. On Taxpayer funds.
How much "good money" disappeared", and where did it go? To retooling? To designing new alternative fuel vehicles? Or in the pockets of the UAW?
The Right was clearly correct on this issue, no?
I wonder what else the "Party of No" is correct on..
