Dear Ms. Napolitano:
My name is ***** *******, and I write a blog called Where Are My Keys?. I write on several different topics each day, including pop culture, current affairs, sports, humor and politics. I have a regular batch of readers that comment on posts, from all points of the political spectrum. Generally, things are good-natured and light, as we exchange ideas, and debate differing opinions.
I'm writing to you today about something very troubling. One of my "regulars" is a gentleman that goes by the screen name Piker. His real name is Daniel K*****, and his phone number is (***) ***-****. I have met Piker in person, on a business trip to Southern California. This is how I came to get his contact information. He seemed like a normal guy when I met him in person about a year ago.
Generally, our discussions are the kind you would normally find sitting at a bar over a round of drinks. Today, Piker took an ugly turn, and I'm concerned. In light of the horrific incident yesterday at the Holocaust Museum, and the findings that that gentleman had outlined many things he wished to do on the Internet, I'm compelled to write to you.
Piker posted this comment on a post I had written this morning:
A stoopid person, I think is one who confuses guidelines with laws. And if there is no law involved, what the Administration thinks is reasonable isn't that big a deal.
But hey, feel free to work yourselves into a froth over this one too. Maybe you can encourage a few crazies to shoot Geithner.
Initially, I dismissed it as a joke in poor taste, considering what had happened yesterday. I visited Piker's blog, Keepin' It Real, Yo; and was very concerned when I saw the titles of the posts he had written today:

Some Talk Show Hosts Need To Be Shot
If the posts have been pulled, I'm sure you will be able to retrieve them via Google and cached pages.
While I used to think that Piker would never rise to this level of violence, today gave me reason to pause. I do know that Piker also has a weekly podcast, and has since put that podcast on hiatus. He initially claimed that he was going on break due to an acting engagement. On the sign off, he indicated he would be broadcasting again in late March. Since he hasn't been doing this broadcast, which has been a labor of love for him, I'm concerned that maybe he has slipped into some sort of depression, which may be part of the reason for his posts today. Piker also has a blog entitled Dark Meat: Music for Depressives. The title alone, when combined with the other information, causes me to pause.
Definitely not the face of a happy person.
Again, while I'm sure this is much ado about nothing, I'm concerned for my friend and his recent violence-laced blog postings. In light of current events, is it worth a least a drop-by by a few agents to ensure there isn't any more senseless violence?
Please contact me if you have any questions. I'm concerned for my friend, and hope he doesn't do the horrible things that he has suggested in his writings.
